Major Wire Industries Ltd.: Flex-Mat 3

Flex-Mat 3 screen media is now available in both modular and tensioned versions to help producers increase screen capacity and material throughput. According to Major Wire, the screen media employs independently vibrating wires that increase product throughput by up to 40 percent over polyurethane and rubber panels or traditional woven wire. The company says throughput is improved because open area is increased — and that eliminates blinding, pegging and clogging. The most commonly used versions, the Flex-Mat 3 Modular 1-ft. x 1-ft. and 1-ft. x 2-ft. panels, have more open area and increase screen capacity. Flex-Mat 3 Modular also allows for precise spec material passing for up to 50 percent of the wire’s life.
